Counselling is a confidential space to talk about whatever is troubling you.Talking through these concerns can help you to uncover any root causes and identify and change your ways of thinking.

We will usually meet weekly at the same time and each session is 50 minutes.
We can agree at the start if you would prefer to work for a fixed number of sessions and then have a review, or we can agree to work on an open ended basis.
I will let you know in advance if I have planned time off and I would like for you to do the same for me.

As recommended by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) , a key feature of counselling is that it is treated confidentially. Counselling is a time when it is ok to talk about concerns without fear of them being discussed elsewhere.
I receive clinical supervision for my work with young people, to ensure the quality of my practice and this is confidential, the individual client’s details are always anonymised in supervision.
The only time I may need to breach your confidentiality is if I feel you are a risk to yourself or others and I will always aim to discuss this with you first.

Our first session is free of charge and lasts 30 minutes. This is an opportunity for you to meet with me and decide if you would like us to work together. Research shows that one of the most important factors in counselling is our relationship and this is an opportunity for us to gauge that.
If we continue to work together then a 50 minute counselling session costs £60, either in person or online.
I hold a small number of lower cost spaces which are available to counsellors in training. Please contact me for details.
